For the safety and protection of the trainee the following is required prior to attending LARC IB ABSL2 Immunocompromised Training
What are the prerequisites for this course?
- must be IACUC approved
- Complete online LARC Facility Introduction (online)
- Attended LARC IB Facility Basic Orientation (in-person) training
- must complete the online presentation & quiz prior to attendng the in-person enrollment date
What is this course about?
This is an approximately a 1 hour course that will cover the procedures and processes which are required when working in the Animal Biosafety Level 2 (ABSL-2) Immunocompromised animal housing rooms. This course includes an online presentation that will discuss topics such as room entry, personal protective equipment, and bagging of cages.
Who should attend this course?
This course will be most useful for any research faculty and staff working in the IB ABSL-2 Immunocompromised rooms in the LARC facility.
Helpful Tips
The LARC ABSL-2 Immunocompromised Training courses are facility specific. You are required to register and attend multiple basic training courses if the research animals you'll be working with are housed in more than one facility.
If the course location is listed as TBA (to be announced), this means that the course location will be announced to participants by the instructor prior to or day of class time.
A University ID is required.
