Course Introduction

Module three is all about the revenue cycle. What makes up the district's revenues? What takes away from revenues? How can we know when we need to generate more revenue? All of these questions and more govern the revenue cycle. It goes beyond how to calculate the levy and tax rate. We do a deep dive into revenue and look at how we generate it, how we organize it, and how we manage it. All of these are important as we become Good Stewards of our school district's revenues.

Module Topics Include

  • Governance
  • Planning
  • Accountability

Microcredential Option

Complete all four modules of the School Finance Series to earn the Exemplary Governance in School Finance microcredential. This verifiable digital credential can be displayed on your School Board's websites, LinkedIn, and on social media platforms!
